Teacher of Visually Impaired Children
Contracted Service - 3 hours per month
Duties include:
·Provides bi-weekly consultation for special educators to discuss modifications and curriculum for student with visual impairment.
·Acts as resource for Regular Education and Special Education teachers, and as a contact for appropriately modified materials.
·Conducts on site observations of student with visual impairment in the regular education and special education settings.
·Provides Braille instruction, for 1 hour a month, for student with visual impairment, and provides Braille consultation for Braille instructor.
·Attends IEP meetings for student.
·Consults with outside providers/eye doctor-provides the school team with this information
